Students will participate in mock crime scenes and role play. We will practice evidence collection skills such as fingerprinting, casting, and photographing crime scenes. Learn how to secure a crime scene, packaging and storing of evidence and some of the challenges of digital evidence collection and storage. Discover polygraph procedures and interrogation techniques. Explore the role of first responders vs. investigators.
Students will need to bring a lunch each day of camp and an optional snack. Students should not arrive any earlier than 15 minutes before the start of camp to allow proper set-up time for the instructor. Electronic devices will not be permitted in the classroom. Cell phones are permitted during breaks and/or end of class. For safety reasons, we ask all camp participants to wear tennis shoes or closed toe shoes.
