** Please Note: In accordance with 18 VAC 50-22-20 & 18 VAC 50-22-30, VA DPOR requires Irrigation contractors (ISC), Highway/Heavy (H/H) contractors & Fire Sprinkler contractors (SPC) to attend a class approved by the Board on backflow prevention assembly (BPA) installation before they are allowed to install BPA’s. Licensure as a State Certified Backflow Prevention Device Worker does not allow contractors in these specialties to install BPA’s without this training. Once the training has been obtained, successful attendees will be authorized to install BPA’s, but only in their specific contractor designation.
