Short Description: The Medical Transcription Online Training Program prepares learners for an in?demand healthcare documentation career through an immersive, simulation?based approach. Learners transcribe hundreds of real inpatient and outpatient medical reports while developing mastery in medical terminology, anatomy, formatting, grammar, and style standards aligned with AHDI guidelines. Organized by body systems and report types, the program delivers hands?on experience using authentic transcription scenarios.
Instructor Description: Though this program is a self-paced program it is supported by an educational mentor. Educational mentors are subject matter experts who have years of experience in their field as well as the necessary educational training and credentials to work as an expert. The mentor is available to answer any questions a learner may have including questions on course content, course material, certifications, and even industry questions. Mentors also monitor the progress of learners to ensure training retention and program advancement. In eLearning, motivation is a key tool to success. Because of this, mentors provide encouraging comments, feedback, and coaching to motivate learners throughout the duration of the program to support completion and success!
Certification: Upon successful completion of our Medical Transcription course, students will be prepared for an entry-level position doing medical transcription and will be prepared to sit for the AHDI national certification exam to become a Registered Medical Transcriptionist (RMT). Each state may have additional licensing requirements, be sure to research your states requirements for employment by visiting your states occupation board.

Module 3: Case Study Report Transcription – Part 1
Provides hands?on transcription practice using inpatient case studies organized by body systems and common medical report types.
Module 4: Case Study Report Transcription – Part 2
Expands transcription practice through additional multi?system inpatient case studies and complex medical documentation.
Module 5: Outpatient Transcription Practice – Part 1
Focuses on transcribing outpatient clinic, procedural, and specialty reports commonly used in ambulatory care settings.
Module 6: Outpatient Transcription Practice – Part 2
Continues advanced outpatient transcription practice across multiple specialties and report formats.
Module 7: Proofreading and Quality Control
Develops skills in proofreading, error correction, controlled vocabulary, and identifying common dictation mistakes.
Module 8: Medical Reports Transcription Practice
Strengthens transcription accuracy through diverse medical reports from specialty clinics and hospital departments.
Module 9: Radiology Reports Transcription Practice
Concentrates on radiology transcription, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and diagnostic imaging reports.
Module 10: Surgical Reports Transcription Practice
Culminates with advanced transcription of operative reports across multiple surgical specialties.
