This rigorous HVACR curriculum prepares learners for a career as skilled heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers. It covers the concepts technicians need to safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVACR systems. The curriculum also covers needed basic knowledge of sheet metal and pipefitting.

The HVAC Level 1 course has nine modules: introduction to HVAC, trade mathematics, basic electricity, introduction to heating, cooling, and air distribution systems, basic copper, and plastic piping practices, soldering and brazing, and basic carbon steel piping practices.

Students should have basic computer skills, basic math skills and be able to use a calculator to complete NCCER module testing and completion of homework assignments in CANVAS. Students must complete and pass all modules to be certified in NCCER HVAC 1.
