This rigorous Plumbing curriculum prepares learners for a career as skilled plumbers. It covers the concepts technicians need to safely install, test, maintain, and repair many different types of pipe systems for residential, commercial and public buildings. Coverage of math, drawings, code and other critical knowledges skills ensure learners are set up for job success.  The four-level Plumbing curriculum complies with the U.S. Department of Labor’s standards for apprenticeship programs.

The Plumbing Level 1 course has twelve modules: introduction to the plumbing profession, plumbing safety, tools of the plumbing trade, introduction to plumbing math, introduction to plumbing drawings, plastic pipe and fittings, copper tube and fittings, cast iron pipe and fittings, steel pipe and fittings, introduction to plumbing fixtures, introduction to drain, waste, and vent (DWV)systems, and introduction to water distribution systems. 

Students should have basic computer skills, basic math skills and be able to use a calculator to complete NCCER module testing and completion of homework assignments in CANVAS. Students must complete and pass all modules to be certified in NCCER Plumbing 1.
