This course is the first in the series of four Electrical classes. Students must be certified in NCCER Core or be co-enrolled in the NCCER Core class.
Electricians install electrical systems in structures; they install wiring and other electrical components, such as circuit breaker panels, switches, and light fixtures, and they follow blueprints, the National Electrical code and state and local codes.
The Electrical Level 1 course hast twelve modules, the electrical industry, safety for electricians, introduction to electrical circuits, electrical theory, introduction to the National Electrical Code, device boxes, hand bending, wireways, raceways and fittings, conductors and cables, basic electrical construction documents, residential wiring, and electrical test equipment. Students that successfully complete all (12) modules will receive the Electrical 1 certification.
Students must have access to a computer and internet to complete homework assignments in CANVAS.
