Summer Academy - Advanced Manufacturing

This camp will provide an introduction to manufacturing and students will learn about multiple manufacturing operations. Students will complete and assemble projects, learn about precision machining, finish design, plastics and machining. Students will manufacture an 8-inch replica of a Parrott Rifle (cannon).
There will be a field trip to L&R Precision Machining and AMG Plastics.
Parents:
  • You will receive an email to complete additional forms. These forms are required and must be completed and returned as soon as possible.
Camp requirements:
  • Participants will need to bring lunch each day and an optional snack.
  • For safety reasons, students MUST wear tennis shoes or closed-toe shoes and long pants (NO SHORTS). 
  • Electronic devices will not be permitted in the classroom. Cell phones are permitted during breaks and/or end of class.
  • Parents must walk their child to the Student Center each morning at 8:00am and come inside in the afternoon at 3:00.
If you need to cancel your registration you must notify us 7 days before the class starts to be eligible for a refund.
