Summer Academy - Construction

Students will be building three different mockups for our Plumbing department. Mockups for a kitchen, bathroom, utility tub and a washing machine.
This construction camp is designed around the basics of building and covers:
  • construction safety
  • tool safety
  • residential deck and wall construction
  • basic electrical hookup
  • drywall installation and finish
         Skills:
  • using layout tools (tape measure, square)
  • skill saw safety and use,
  • residential wall and deck layout,
  • basic wiring and box placement for outlets and switches
  • cutting, fastening and finishing drywall
Parents:
  • You will receive an email to complete additional forms. These forms are required and must be completed and returned as soon as possible.
Camp requirements:
  • Participants will need to bring lunch each day and an optional snack.
  • For safety reasons, students MUST wear closed-toe shoes or boots, and long denim pants (NO SHORTS).
  • Electronic devices will not be permitted in the classroom. Cell phones are permitted during breaks and/or end of class.
  • Parents must walk their child to the Student Center each morning at 8:00am and come inside in the afternoon at 3:00.
If you need to cancel your registration you must notify us 7 days before the class starts to be eligible for a refund.
