Students must be certified in NCCER Core and HVAC 1, 2 and 3 before enrollment in this course. The increasing development of HVAC (heating and air-conditioning systems) technology causes employees to recognize the importance of continuous education and keeping up to speed with the latest equipment and skills. NCCER’s programs have been designed by highly qualified subject matter experts with this in mind. The four levels, North American Technician Excellence (NATE) recognized, present theoretical and practical skills essential to your success as an HVAC installer or technician.

The HVAC Level 4 course has eleven modules: water treatment, indoor air quality, energy conservation equipment, building management systems, system air balancing, system startup and shutdown, construction drawing and specifications, heating, and cooling system design, commercial-industrial refrigeration system, alternative and specialized heating and cooling system and fundamentals of crew leadership. Students that successfully complete all (11) modules will receive the NCCER HVAC 4 credential.

** Students should have basic computer skills, basic math skills and be able to use a calculator to complete NCCER module testing and completion of homework assignments in CANVAS. **
